Y U KEEP SPENDING MONEY ON TECHNOLOGIES?
Hi all again,
I was reading Benny Lings blog this morning on the subject of having an addiction with owning new gadgets and toys and it got me thinking.. I’m kind of in the same situation.. My friends and parents constantly badger me with the question
“BO! Why aren’t you saving money! Why you keep blowing your pay on these gadgets and electronic stuff?”
As someone who is addicted to technology nothing makes me more excited than having a new toy to play.
Ever since starting to work last year I have lost count on how much money I’ve spent on gadgets and toys. Some people may view it as being crazy lining up and buying an iPad 2 for $500.. But then I can say the same to those people who are ‘car enthusiasts’ and spend $1000 on a new bodykit or something (I’m no car expert so don’t quote me on the price)
The way I see it is, as I long as I am enjoying it and not having it take over my life (ie: being in debt, borrowing money) I don’t see any problem.
With the money I save by not smoking, drinking (I do like to go out and drink once in awhile) and driving (I do drive, just prefer public transport) it leaves me with a nice disposable income to play with. My friends sometime ask me “Why don’t you save money for a house/car…”
You know.. A house for me is something to worry about later in the future, I’m still 21 and young and it’s too early to be tied down to a mortgage. In regards to car, I have never had any interest in them. As long as it can get me from A to B then I’m happy driving it.. House and car for me can come later when I get older.. For now just enjoy life as it is.
For me saving money is one thing, but taking to the OCD level of anal-retentiveness is possibly borderline mental illness…

Anyway I’ve got a few cool gadgets to talk about but I’m not sure whether I should post it on this blog or create an entire new blog dedicated for reviews and stuff.. We’ll see.
Until next time, adios amigo.
